2022 WeatherEye Marsanne
Tasting Notes
"Revealing a killer bouquet of honeyed tropical fruits, orange marmalade, crushed stone, white flowers, and green almonds. Full-bodied, concentrated, and beautifully textured, with a blockbuster-styled, salty finish, this reminds me of a great Hermitage Blanc from the likes of Michel Chapoutier. It too should easily evolve for a decade, although I love it today. 98 points" Jeb Dunnuck
About WeatherEye
Located at the top of Red Mountain, with the elevation providing a cooling effect; WeatherEye carefully selects clones, which are then planted in small-blocks. This strategic placement, coupled with a diverse array of trellising methods, is designed to extend the grapes hang time and maturation period. The result is a harvest that boasts not only intensified flavors but also a notable freshness and an array of non-fruit characteristics. WeatherEye has changed what is possible in Washington winemaking and is producing some of the best wines in the World.
