2022 Domaine Duclaux Côte Rotie La Germine
Tasting Notes
A masterful Syrah, the 2022 La Germine captures Côte-Rôtie's elegance, complexity, and power. Deep garnet with purple highlights, it offers an intricate nose of blackberries, blackcurrants, and cherries, enhanced by violets, black pepper, smoked meats, and olive tapenade. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied with a velvety texture, fine tannins, and vibrant acidity. Dark fruits, licorice, and savory herbs mingle with earthy notes and a delicate smokiness, leading to a long, elegant finish with hints of spice, minerality, and dark chocolate. Enjoy now with decanting or cellar for 10–15 years.
