2022 Domaine Denizot Les Bouffants

Tasting Notes

A striking expression of Sancerre, offering a vibrant and precise interpretation of Sauvignon Blanc. In the glass, it shimmers with a pale straw color and subtle green highlights, reflecting its youthful vitality. The nose is intensely aromatic, presenting a bouquet of zesty lime, grapefruit, and green apple, complemented by delicate floral notes of elderflower and a touch of fresh herbs. A distinctive flinty minerality and hints of crushed stone speak to the wine's exceptional terroir. On the palate, the wine is energetic and well-structured, balancing crisp, mouthwatering acidity with a silky texture. Flavors of citrus, ripe pear, and white peach are seamlessly integrated with a saline streak and a mineral-driven backbone. The finish is long and clean, leaving a lasting impression of freshness and finesse. This wine exemplifies the pedigree of Sancerre, offering both approachability and the potential to develop further complexity over the next 3–5 years.
