2016 Champagne Augustin Feu (FIRE)
Tasting Notes
Feu is one of our favorite Champagne’s. Aromas of bread and brioche, orange zest, and red apple. The acidity balances nicely with a creamy palate making it easy to pair with foods.
About Champagne Augustin
Owned by Marc and Emmanuelle Augustin, the cuvées of Champagne Augustin stand distinctively apart. They encapsulate not just the characteristics of a terroir, a grape variety, a vintage, and unique craftsmanship, but also resonate with the essence of their origin – the locale, the fervor, and the individual behind their creation. These champagnes are a profound expression of life. They embody a potent energy, reminiscent of the four elemental pillars: Earth, Fire, Air, and Water. Biodynamic and organic methods are applied in all phases of what they call “coeur-viculteur” (winemaking from the heart) – where everything is done from the heart with a passion from pruning, trellising, harvesting, pressing, winemaking, resting on lees, disgorging, and shipping; producing energetic and amazing cuvees.
